Marketing and Membership Manager (Austin, TX)
Job Description:Membership manager for industry-driving high-tech global trade association. Drives global member acquisition, membership value management and member support activities. Supports a range of marketing activities including lead generation, research, events, and analytics. Reports to Marketing Director.
Duties:

Member Recruiting
- Outward facing role in identification, introduction and signing of new members
- Plan and execute new member strategy worldwide including identifying qualifying and recruiting member companies worldwide
- Maintain member prospect pipeline and active database of potential member companies

Member Retention
- Advocate for member needs within WFA
- Drive program enhancements and best practices to improve member satisfaction and retention
- Work with member company representatives to deepen participation and engage representatives in WFA activities

Operational Support
- Contribute to operational elements of membership staff activities: member support, annual renewal campaign, sponsor elections, and by laws, policies and procedures enforcement and evolution
- Support member-driven and member-focused activities (task groups and events) and marketing initiatives (program launches, trade shows, etc.)
- Report member acquisition and retention statistics, including design, analysis and reporting of annual member satisfaction survey
Experience:
-
5+ years directly-related experience including work in:
- Marketing program management, lead generation, communications, and research
- High-technology industry experience
- Global stakeholder relations, business development and/or account management
- International experience a plus
- Experience in both multinational corporations and small companies highly valued

About the Wi-Fi Alliance
Senior Software Engineer (Santa Clara, CA)
Job Description:Lead developer of embedded applications and tools for a fully automated, open-source test platform for certifying interoperability/performance of Wi-Fi (802.11)-enabled devices such as mobile phones, laptops, wireless infrastructure and other consumer applications. Given the nature of the organization and seniority of the position, the successful candidate will eventually interact regularly with Wi-Fi Alliance member company representatives through delivery of training and collaborative support.
Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required; Masters preferred
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Expertise with C/C++ in Linux and/or Windows environments
- Strong TCP/IP socket and thread programming experience
- Experience writing applications and device drivers for serial and bus architectures
- Hands-on aptitude with configuration/operation of basic networking hardware
- Familiarity with following common programming practices, version control, etc.
- Works independently in a fast-paced, small team environment
- Appreciation of wide range of responsibility
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
- Solid communication skills (written and oral)
Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of 802.11 or other wireless technology
- Understanding of general networking technologies (stacks, routing, switching, NAT, QoS, etc)Thrives in multiple-stakeholder environment; strong customer-service orientation
- Script programming experience - VBscript, Python, .NET, C#
- Experience with Agile-oriented environment
- Experience as leader and/or ScrumMaster for small software development team
