Wi-Fi Alliance seeks a Business Development Representative to generate new sales opportunities and add qualified leads in the assigned territory. The Business Development Representative reports to the Director of Business Development. He/she will work with the best technical and marketing talent in Wi-Fi Alliance member companies, driving industry-visible efforts that support the mission of connecting everyone and everything, everywhere.
Core Responsibilities
- Generate new sales opportunities and add qualified leads to the sales pipeline. Responsible for prospecting, lead qualification, lead nurturing, booking meetings to convert potential customers to new members, and conducting research on potential members and industry trends for the business development team
- Engage with potential members using a value assessment approach to build a compelling narrative that covers the current and future state, value in closing the gap and deliver plan to ensure success
Experience, Skills and Abilities
- 3 - 5 years of enterprise business to business sales experience, familiarity with key financial metrics.
- Polished presentation and interpersonal skills, experience addressing executive and technical audiences
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills and ability to convey complex technical messages in a clear and simple way
- Experience sourcing leads and generating sales pipelines
- Ability to facilitate outreach campaigns
- Proven experience meeting and exceeding quotas and accurately forecasting the business
- Track record of collaborating and demonstrating success in organizations that foster teamwork
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbally and in writing)
- Ability to communicate well with current and potential Members and Staff across different cultures
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying an obstacle, providing solutions and closing to resolution
- Exceptional time management skills, ability to remain focused and organized to achieve objectives while working on multiple priorities
- Personal accountability and ownership of duties and responsibilities
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and Outlook
- Experience using Salesforce and ZoomInfo
