WHY: According to research conducted in April 2006, 54 percent of U.S. consumers are aware of the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ logos and look to this as an indicator of product interoperability, reliability and security. Wi-Fi Alliance's 250+ members have helped fuel this awareness with the inclusion of Wi-Fi signage in marketing and packaging materials - illustrating that independent third party certification can contribute to overall purchasing decisions.
