AUSTIN, TEXAS and BEIJING - April 9, 2007 -The Wi-Fi Alliance, worldwide industry tradeassociation for wireless LAN, has announced that the first annual China Wi-FiSummit will be held on 26-27 September, 2007. This event further signals the significant growth of the Wi-Fi market,with an installed base of three hundred million users and a worldwide growth rateof 25% per year. Chinese firms are increasingly developing equipment for theworld Wi-Fi market, as well as the Chinese market. The size of the China market for networkingequipment is expected to exceed RMB10.3 billion next year (Wi-FiAlliance/Analysys International).
Managersand product developers from networking equipment manufacturers will attend thisgroundbreaking event, as will government officials, analysts and consultants,and venture capitalists. The Wi-Fi Alliance haspartnered with BIIGroup Holdings, Inc. as its local partner to produce the first annual ChinaWi-Fi Summit.
