CES is known for kick-starting the year in the tech community, and the 2023 event was no exception. This year, Wi-Fi Alliance® was proud to participate in Tuya Day, Tuya Smart’s hosted event at CES that showcased companies at the forefront of growing the global Internet of Things (IoT) industry. Wi-Fi Alliance President and CEO, Kevin Robinson, delivered a keynote that underscored Wi-Fi® as a foundational technology for IoT innovations. During the presentation, Robinson noted that “Wi-Fi provides a standards-based, interoperable platform to deliver a growing range of IoT applications that vary in performance, power, and latency requirements. Member companies like Tuya leverage Wi-Fi's inherent strengths in the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands and deliver various intelligent IoT application scenarios.”
Each household hosts an average of 17 connected devices[1], and that number is only expected to increase as more IoT use cases emerge. With proven interoperability, security, and reliability, Wi-Fi provides a common, standards-based platform to facilitate a growing range of IoT applications, along with the superior performance and low latency users demand.
